Music was a unfeminine space to be in and so accepting this type of femininity was a really interesting challenge for me. To me, it was quite difficult to tell myself, "Okay I can be robust, feminine, and soft. Be careful of your appearance and not diminish myself." I've loved it quite a bit, I've enjoyed having a dress and heels each day, and having lovely curls and soft fabrics. The experience was stressful since I'm not as old as the other actors in Fantastic Beasts]; there was a lot of stress. But during the auditions, I was struck by the feeling that there was an enormous weight in front of my. Either I would crumble under this weight and fall as I wanted to. It was also possible to get up and allow it to propel me forward. You can go for days exploring museums, walking cafes, parks and the like as well as just watching people. You can feel isolated in LA however London's Tube puts you right at the heart of the action. Any human being that you can imagine can be observed. I am a fan of watching the people around me. I come from a world of music in which you're always surrounded by men and you feel like you're in really intimate situations constantly working alongside guys. The books were a wish fulfilled for me. It was nice being able to enjoy the books on tour. It's always changing places and it can be hard to concentrate. However, to be able to escape to such a vivid and vivid world in your bedroom is something truly wonderful. Alison Alison Alison
