Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, before being drafted by the Wings with the fifth overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born the 2nd of March 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Her brothers are Mario (26 year older) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Being the youngest of her siblings she was the one who was most spoilt of her parents. Gregory's father was a member of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from an active lineage of family members. High schooler Ogunbowale has made 7 appearances in the league and had 1,477 rebounds as well as 1,477 points during her professional career. Ogunbowale was able to win gold in 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships and the 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17. The USA Youth Olympic Team was announced as the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team 7 July 2014. Ogunbowale was entering her first year of collegiate play, was named her ACC All-Freshman Team.
